L'Heritage Retreat in Wilderness

L'Heritage Retreat is a recently renovated guest house in Wilderness, South Africa, and only accepts adults. Rooms include King Rooms with a balcony, Deluxe King Rooms, and King Rooms with a spa bath. Each unit has a private bathroom with a bath or spa bath, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, a microwave, heating, and free toiletries. Some rooms have extra wardrobes and shelves. Depending on the room, you get garden, pool, or lake views, and all rooms are non-smoking.

There is no restaurant, so you fix your own meals. Each room has a patio with an outdoor dining area. Inside, you'll find plates, cutlery, wine glasses, a refrigerator, a microwave, and an electric kettle. Outside, the barbecue area has utensils for grilling, and the picnic area comes with lake views. The nearest supermarket is a Spar in Wilderness, a 5-minute drive away.

The outdoor pool is open all year and has sun loungers, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and a cover. There is also a sun terrace, a garden, an inner courtyard, and outdoor furniture around the pool. Because the property is adults-only, the pool and garden are for grown-ups. You can head out on cycling routes from the surrounding area.

The guest house is in Wilderness, 25 km from George Airport. It's a 5-minute drive to the village centre, where you can eat out or stock up at the Spar. Lakes Area National Park is close by, as are George Golf Club and Outeniqua Pass. Free private parking means you can explore the Garden Route by car.

Free WiFi works throughout the property, and parking is free. Each room has key access and a safety deposit box. The hosts give advice on local restaurants and activities, and they have gone out of their way to help with extras like getting a suit cleaned. The guest house can provide an invoice. There is a designated smoking area outside. There are no business, event, or child-care facilities; the property is adults-only.
